The Challenge 🔥

We launched the first version of our subscription with a special introductory price of $9.99. However, it has since increased to the regular price of $19.99. As a result, we've observed a decrease in subscriber numbers. The business team's proposed solution is to offer more coupon codes for this project.

Problem

  • Most people use our free trial and unsubscribe afterwards.

  • Don't be influenced by any coupons sent to users via email.

Solution

I think that not gonna help if we’re going to put more coupon ads on the dashboard because while we are selling more we still lose the current subscriber.

Research/Evident

Based on the information we have, most users have complained about pricing. Therefore, we need to find a price that is right for users while also increasing the value of the product.

Direction

We decide to make a offboarding flow that offer anything that can help the users for example discount so we can test and find the right price that user willing to paid for the subscription.

User Flow

"After gathering the necessary information to work on, I began by creating a user flow to align the actions that will occur within the platform with the developer and PM.

Wireframe for MVP phase that we decided to offer a discount first. If users don't take the offer, we will conduct an exit survey. The reason behind this is that if we put the exit survey in front of the offers and users select an answer that is not about the pricing, and we still offer the discount, it will feel like we don't care about the users.

Positive Results

  • Reduce drop-off by 15% after launch.
